K&T Shoyu Poke

Poke is a classic Hawiian dish that can be found all over the islands. It combines the umami flavors of soy sauce with sashimi grade fish to bring out a flavorful and fresh fish dish. This is our version of Poke and love to eat it with K&T O.G. Chili Oil!

We placed our Poke on top of freshly steamed rice and added some cool crisp sliced cucumbers to accompany the dish. You can even use it as a salad topping to bring another element to your nightly dinners!

Ingredients

1lb Sashimi Grade Fish, we prefer Ahi Tuna or Albacore

2Tbsp Lite Soy Sauce

1/2 Tbsp Sesame Oil

1/2 Tbsp White Granulated Sugar

1 Serrano Chile, thinly sliced (adjust to desired heat level)

1/4 Sweet Maui Onion or Vidalia, thinly sliced

1/4C Green Onions, diced white and greens

K&T Chili Oil, O.G. or Thai Spice

Step 1

Combine Lite Soy Sauce, Sesame Oil and White Granulated sugar, stir until sugar is dissolved. Mix in sliced onions and sliced serrano pieces allow to marinate for about 10-15 minutes to combine flavors

Step 2

Dice up fish of choice into around 1/2" to 3/4" sized cubes then mix into soy sauce mixture

Step 3

Stir in diced green onions then cover bowl and let sit in fridge for around 30-45 minutes

Step 4

Serve over a bowl of rice or greens, garnish with choice of ingredients such as sesame seeds, furikake, masago, avocado, etc.
